No one injured in Snellville apartment blaze

An apartment unit suffered heavy damage but no injuries after Gwinnett County fire officials responded to a fire Christmas afternoon in Snellville.<br /> <br /> According to officials, the blaze was first reported at around 3:40 p.m. by a caller who saw smoke and fire coming from a balcony of Killian Creek Apartments in Snellville. When crews arrived a third-story unit was in flames. Officials then evacuated the building and combated the flames. All residents escaped and no injuries were reported.<br /> <br /> The blaze caused heavy fire damage to the inside of the unit and smoke and water damage to the surrounding units, as well as damage due to the firefighting efforts. No residents were in the involved unit at the time of the fire according to officials.<br /> <br /> County fire officials say they are investigating the cause of the fire, however it is believed to of accidental causes.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
