GAINESVILLE - Laura Ann "Peaches" Shipley, representing the Rotary Club of Gainesville, was crowned the Belle of the Ball Saturday night at the Gainesville-Hall County Junior League's 63st Annual Charity Ball. <br />

Shipley is a senior at Lakeview Academy, and is the daughter of Rob and Kelly Robinson and Bob Shipley.<br />
<br />
The Charity Ball serves as one of the Junior League's major fundraisers. Money raised by the event allows the volunteer organization to support community agencies and projects working to make Gainesville-Hall County a better place for children and families.<br />
<br />
This year eight local civic groups sponsored belle candidates who were charged with raising money on behalf on the Junior League. The highlight of the Charity Ball comes when the belle candidate who raises the most money is crowned Belle of the Ball.<br />
