Girls basketball: Chestatee holds off Stephens Co. rally

GAINESVILLE -- Chestatee held off a furious fourth quarter rally to beat Stephens County 44-43 Friday at the Chestatee gym.<br />

The Lady War Eagles (3-4) opened up a 32-21 lead after the third quarter but Stephens County (2-4) outscored Chestatee 22-12 in the fourth quarter.<br />
<br />
Tyler Bennett paced the Lady War Eagles with 16 points. Kayla Watson added 15 points and Brooklyn Popham seven points for Chestatee. <br />
<br />
Chestatee plays host to West Hall on Saturday.
