CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE -- Georgia guard Kenny Gaines scored 25 points and paced four Bulldogs in double figures during an 86-55 win at Chattanooga on Tuesday night.<br />

The Bulldogs opened the second half with a 16-5 run to pull away from Chattanooga in the middle game of a two-for-one series with the Bulldogs.<br />

Georgia (4-3) found a shooting touch that had been missing in its previous games. They entered shooting 25.8 percent from 3-point range. They shot 7 of 11 from beyond arc and 63.3 percent from the floor.<br />

Georgia forward Marcus Thornton scored 24 points on 10-of-11 shooting, Charles Mann scored 14 points and Nemanja Djurisic added 10 points.<br />

Junior Casey Jones led Chattanooga (3-5) with 19 points.<br />

The Bulldogs led 39-32 at halftime after never trailing before the break. They opened up a 20-point lead with 12:30 to go and finished with a 39-24 advantage in rebounding.<br />

Georgia went on a 10-0 run early in the game that lasted nearly 5 minutes and extended its lead to 20-10.<br />

The Bulldogs started 13-for-20 from the floor in building a 32-22 lead.<br />
<br />
A 3-pointer from senior Ronrico White pulled the Mocs within 32-39 at halftime before a crowd of 3,784. Georgia never trailed, and led by as many as 12 points in the first half.<br />
<br />
Georgia shot 60 percent from the floor including 3-of-6 from the 3-point line before the dance team took the floor. Gaines had 12 points and Thornton had 10 points before the break. Jones led Chattanooga with 10 points in the first half. He shot 4 of 4 from the floor while the rest of the team shot 8 of 26.<br />

Georgia opened the second half with a 16-5 run and built its lead to 55-37 on consecutive 3-pointers by Juwan Parker and Gaines.<br />
<br />
The final margin was Georgia's largest lead. The Bulldogs, especially behind Thornton, outscored Chattanooga 42-18 in the paint. The Bulldogs' bench out-scored the Mocs 22-13.<br />
<br />
By switching between man-to-man and 2-3 zone defenses, Georgia limited Chattanooga to 31 percent shooting and just six field goals in the second half.<br />
