FLOWERY BRANCH - A fire that destroyed a house in Flowery Branch Sunday night appears to have been electrical in nature.

"The investigation...turned up the possibility of an electrical fire," Hall County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle said. "Fire Investigators traced damaged wire showing an arc that led back to an electrical outlet in the area of origin. Home owners also confirmed previous problems with this outlet."

Cagle said earlier that the house, located in the 6500 block of Arbor Point, was fully involved in flames when crews arrived around 11:15.

He said five people lived at the house, although only three were home when the blaze broke out. All escaped without injury.

Cagle estimated the size of the house at around 5,000 square feet with a value of $280,000.
