GAINESVILLE - A longtime educator and coach in northeast Georgia, Eddie Waldrep, has died.<br />

Waldrep, who was 75, died Tuesday.<br />
<br />
His first teaching and coaching positions were with the Lumpkin County School System. After two years in Lumpkin County, he returned to his alma mater, East Hall High School, where over the next eleven years he was a teacher, coach and administrator. <br />
<br />
During his years at East Hall he compiled a winning record coaching the girls and boys basketball teams. <br />
<br />
Waldrep later became principal at Lula Elementary School.<br />
<br />
His final 16 years in education were with the Buford City School System where he served as elementary school principal, high school principal and finally in various positions in the central office.<br />
<br />
A memorial service will be held at New Holland Baptist Church Saturday at 11:00.<br />
