Boys basketball: Lumpkin falls to Pinecrest Academy

CUMMING -- Lumpkin County let an early lead slip away in a 67-50 loss to Pinecrest Academy Tuesday.<br />

The Indians led 15-11 after the first quarter and took a 32-28 lead into halftime. But things fell apart in a disastrous third quarter.<br />
<br />
The Paladins outscored Lumpkin County 22-3 to take a 50-35 lead heading into the fourth quarter.<br />
<br />
The Indians could not get any closer.<br />

Jack Howard paced Lumpkin County with 14 points. Brandon Zarate added 11 points and Zack Pulley 10 for the Indians.<br />

Nick Palmer led Pinecrest with 17 points, Ryan McCarthy had 15, Sean Flanagin 14, and Zane Rice 10 points for the Paladins.
