ATLANTA -- Shacobia Barbee scored a career-high 24 points and Krista Donald added 11 points and 12 rebounds to help No. 24 Georgia beat Georgia Tech 64-57 on Sunday.<br />

Kaela Davis finished with 20 points and Roddreka Rodgers had 13 points and eight rebounds for Georgia Tech (3-1).<br />

With the Lady Bulldogs leading by four, Barbee stole the ball from Davis near Georgia Tech's baseline, and hit Merritt Hempe to make it a six-point lead with 35 seconds remaining.<br />

Davis quickly hit a 3, but Georgia's Marjorie Butler closed the game out by hitting four free throws.<br />
<br />
Mackenzie Engram scored 12 points and combined with Barbee and Butler for 20 rebounds. Georgia (4-0) out-rebounded the Jackets by 10.<br />

The Lady Bulldogs improved to 33-4 in the series and have won four straight against the Yellow Jackets.<br />
<br />
Georgia took its first lead of the second half on Hempe's layup at 17:12 and went ahead for good when Donald hit a 3 to make it 49-47 nearly 10 minutes later.<br />

Barbee's previous career high was 23 points last January against Alabama. She went 4 for 6 from the field in the first half, while Georgia's other shooters were 3 for 20.<br />

Georgia improved to 9-3 in the series since 2001, when Georgia Tech snapped a 24-game losing streak to the Lady Bulldogs.<br />

Georgia Tech missed 18 of its first 23 shots from the field and trailed 16-11 before Sydney Wallace's jumper put the Jackets ahead 24-22. Georgia Tech dropped to 3-12 in series home games.<br />
