ATLANTA (AP) -- The National Weather Service (NWS) has determined that it was a tornado destroyed a mobile home, damaged a barn and toppled trees in Twiggs County Monday.<br />

A report from the NWS estimated the tornado's peak wind speed at 105 mph as it touched down shortly before 10:00 a.m. and traveled for less than a mile in the county which is located southeast of Macon. No serious injuries were reported.<br />

The tornado was rated an EF-1 on the Enhanced Fujita scale, which measures tornado intensity based on damage assessments.<br />

At the time of the twister, a tornado watch was in effect for 72 counties in south and central Georgia.
