Brenau takes top team honors in mediation tournament

Brenau's Ellie Anglin, Sarah McAndrews and Lindsay Embrick accept the first-place award in the meditation team category during the International Intercollegiate Mediation Tournament Saturday.
GAINESVILLE - The 15th annual International Intercollegiate Mediation Tournament came to a close Saturday with the host school, Brenau University, taking the top spot in the mediation team category.<br />

Principia College from Elash, Illinois, took first in the advocate client team category. Alec Bunkley of Georgia Southern University earned first place in the individual mediator category and the team of Minwei Cao and Peter Lugthart of Williams College in Williamston, Massachusetts, took the top award in the individual advocate client team category.<br />

The second-place award in the mediation team category went to Principia. Georgia Southern University brought home the second-place award in the advocate client team category. Kayla Kind of Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois, took second in the individual mediator category and University of Duque's team of Jordan Waddick and Elle Lannon won second in the individual advocate client pair category.<br />

Third-place awards for mediator team went to Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, took third in the advocate client team category. Middle Tennessee State University's James Hodge won third in individual mediators and University of Dubuque's Garrett Cass and Edward Webster won third for individual advocate client pairs.<br />

Williams College won fourth for mediation team and Boston University took fourth for advocate client team. Lewis University's Bridgette Ferriera won fourth-place honors as an individual mediator. Ferriera also earned a fourth-place trophy alongside Kayla King in the individual advocate client pair category.<br />
