Dow, S&P 500 eke out gains, remain at record highs

NEW YORK (AP) -- The U.S. stock market is ending the week with meager gains, sending major indexes further into record territory.<br /> <br /> The Labor Department said Friday that U.S. employers added 214,000 jobs in October. That was a solid number but still was less than what economists were looking for.<br /> <br /> The Standard & Poor's 500 index edged up a fraction of a point to 2,031.<br /> <br /> The Dow Jones industrial average rose 19 points, or 0.1 percent, to 17,573.<br /> <br /> The Nasdaq composite fell six points, or 0.1 percent, to 4,632.<br /> <br /> Humana sank 7 percent after the health insurer reported earnings that didn't meet analysts' forecasts.<br /> <br /> Bond prices rose. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note fell to 2.30 percent.
