CLEVELAND - An 84-year-old White County woman was killed in an accident at her home south of Cleveland Thursday afternoon.

White County Coroner Ricky Barrett said Dorothy "Dot" Rogers had pulled into the carport of her home, on Old Highway 75 South of Cleveland, thought the vehicle was in park and started to exit the vehicle.

Barrett said the vehicle started to move and Rogers tried to get back into the vehicle and put it in park, but the vehicle went forward in the open carport and crashed into a tree.
