The suspect was wearing a green Nike running suit in the October 7 armed robbery, according to authorities.
CUMMING - Forsyth County authorities are on the lookout for a suspect who recently robbed two different gas stations on McFarland Parkway near Georgia 400.

Forsyth County Sheriff's Deputy Doug Rainwater said the same man is believed responsible for an armed hold-up Wednesday night at the Chevron station on McFarland Parkway and for an armed robbery at the RaceTrac in the same area the night of October 7.

Rainwater described the suspect as a black male in his late 20s to early 30s, about 6-feet tall, weighing between 170 and 200 lbs. He said the suspect wore similar clothing in both hold-ups.

"In the RaceTrac armed robbery on October 7, he was wearing a red track suit, and last night at the Chevron station on McFarland Parkway, he was wearing the same identical track suit, but it was green in color," said Rainwater.

In addition, the suspect was wearing a black beanie-type hat and black tennis shoes in both incidents.

Rainwater said no one was hurt in either robbery, but he said the suspect was careless with the weapon he displayed.

"In the video, you can see that he's very carefree with the gun in his hand," said Rainwater. "He keeps moving around. At one point he's swinging the gun in a motion to tell people to stop what they're doing."

Rainwater said there were customers in both stores when the robberies occurred.

He said the suspect got away with cash and also picked up cigars and cigarettes as he left both stores.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to contact the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Section at 678-513-5920.
