41 Hall school district students nominated for Governor's Honors Program

GAINESVILLE - The Hall County School District has nominated 41 students for the Gvoernor's Honors Program (GHP).<br />

GHP is a residential summer program for gifted and talented high school juniors and seniors. Managed by the Governor's Office for Student Achievement (GOSA), it takes place on the campus of Valdosta State University. The 2015 program will be the 52nd summer, making it the longest continually running program of its kind in the nation.<br />
<br />
Each fall over 1,200 public and private high schools across the state are invited to nominate the best of the best in all academic areas, fine arts and technology/career fields. <br />
<br />
GOSA content experts will evaluate nearly 3,000 nominees that were selected by their school districts and from these will name semi-finalists, who will participate in state-wide interviews in January and February. In March, GOSA will name up to 690 finalists
