The Bears fought back from a slow first half, taking control of the contest just before the interval.

"We gained control in the last 5 minutes of the first half and never relinquished it," Truett coach Jon Yeh said. "Down the stretch, we really executed well and extended the lead against a good team."
J'Quayveon Williams was a key player for the Bears on both offense and defense. Williams led the team in points, posting 21 on the day. He also led the team in rebounds, racking up 10 on both sides of the court. Williams also went 7 for 8 in free throws, as well as contributing two assists in the Bears victory.
"It was a really great team effort with quality contributions all around. Brandon Cerezola sparked us in the first half with his perimeter shooting, and big Quay carried us in the second half. We have a lot to work on, but it's certainly nice to get that first win," Yeh said.
The Bears (1-0) will next face Toccoa Falls College on Thursday. Tip-off for the men is set for 8 p.m.
