There are two more Fridays left in the 2014 high school football regular season -- and almost everything is still on the table for northeast Georgia's programs.

With that in mind Jacobs Media will bring you coverage of a full slate of games in Week 10 of the campaign on Friday -- both on air and over the net.

Region 7-AAA will feature a sprint to the finish between five teams for four state playoff spots, and East Hall and Fannin County each know that a win this week would be worth its weight in postseason gold as they prepare for a showdown in Blue Ridge.

The Vikings and Rebels are currently tied with Banks County for third place in 7-AAA -- each sporting two league defeats -- meaning that Friday's victor will take a huge step forward in the playoff race. It is a contest teeming with portents, not to mention some intriguing on-field match-ups, and each snap will be broadcast live on WDUN AM 550.

East Hall is coming off two straight wins, including a 34-7 defeat of Franklin County last week. The Vikings are battling to reach the state playoffs for the first time in nine years, while Fannin County has not reached the postseason since 2010. The Rebels are looking to bounce back after last week's 49-0 loss at West Hall (the team alone in first place in 7-AAA).

Both teams feature athletic, wide-open offenses with strong quarterback play -- East Hall led by senior Devin Watson (the reigning Friday Game Night Player of the Week) and Fannin paced by sophomore standout Brad Davis. Is a shootout on the cards? Tune in Friday night and find out.

Gainesville went a long way toward sealing the No. 2 seed from Region 8-AAAAA last week, bouncing back from a slow start to slam Cedar Shoals 61-26. And even though Lanier nearly put the 8-AAAAA crown out of reach with a 42-35 win over Salem, the Red Elephants still have a chance -- if Gainesville can win out and Lanier drops two straight. The Red Elephants will simply concentrate on what they can control, continuing with Friday's contest against Loganville at City Park. The contest will be broadcast live on 1240 AM.

Gainesville fans will also want to keep an eye on Friday's battle between Lanier and Winder-Barrow in Sugar Hill. The Bulldoggs have come on strong this season -- their first under coach Heath Webb -- and are one win removed from clinching their first state berth since 2003. Yet the Longhorns are just one win away from their first ever region championship. Winder, which has already clinched its best win total since 2007, has pulled off two straight comeback wins, while Lanier made its own comeback against Salem last week.

Both teams feature strong running games, including standout backs Tario Fuller (Lanier) and Cece Green (Winder) -- who is amongst the rushing leaders in the state.

Friday Game Night will be on hand to cover the contest and post live updates from our Twitter feed (@FridayGameNight).

For the first time in years, playoffs are not on the collective minds of North Hall and Chestatee, the game will still feature one of the fiercest rivalries in northeast Georgia on Friday night in a game broadcast live on WDUN 102.9 FM.

The Trojans and War Eagles have battled youth this season but showed last week that they are rapidly improving -- North Hall clinching its first victory of 2014 in a nip-and-tuck battle with Monroe Area. Meanwhile, the War Eagles had White County on the ropes early before falling away in the second half.

The two foes have put up their best games of the campaign in the last two weeks -- just in time for the 13th renewal of a rivalry that has seen Chestatee claim just one victory (in 2005). Both teams will be desperate for another victory on Friday -- and you can expect a few tricks to go along with some of the treats on display come Halloween night.

There will be plenty of other goodies on offer Friday night, including a huge showdown in Region 7-AAAAAA between Mill Creek and Norcross, with the winner keeping their region title hopes alive in a four-team chase for the postseason.

Meanwhile, North Oconee will visit Stephens County looking to rebound after a lopsided loss to Buford. The Indians can stay undefeated in 8-AAAA and on a collision course with the Wolves should they claim victory.

It's all part of another huge week of contests, and the many outlets of Jacobs Media will have every angle covered -- even if we're nursing a stomach ache from too much pre-game trick-or-treating.
