Assistant Athens Clarke-County Police Chief Fred Stephens tells the Athens Banner-Herald 23-year-old Darla Gibbons' manner of death was a homicide, but authorities haven't disclosed how she was killed. <br />

Police have said the woman's body was found in car that had been set on fire near a quarry. Georgia Bureau of Investigation special agent Mike Ayers said investigators used dental records to identify Gibbons. <br />
