BETHLEHEM - Authorities in Barrow County are on the lookout for two men who robbed a jewelry store at gunpoint Tuesday morning.

The two black men entered Kay Jewelers on Loganville Highway in Bethlehem just before 10:30 a.m., according to Sheriff's Lt. Matt Guthas.

"One of them had a handgun and they robbed the clerk of the store and then took off several minutes later in what's suspected to be a silver Ford Explorer, Mecury Mountaineer," said Guthas.

The pair got away with an undisclosed amount of jewelry in the silver car. The car also had a luggage rack and sunroof.

Guthas said both men had thin builds and were between 5'8" and 6' in height. Both were wearing black pants and black shoes; both were wearing orange reflective vests, white hard hats and white dust masks.

"The clerk was able to see portions of their faces, which allowed him to determine they were black males," said Guthas.
