CUMMING - Work related to the construction of the Mason Street Parking Facility near the Forsyth County Administration Building will result in changes to parking areas near the building, effective Thursday.

The one-hour public parking lot located off Mason Street and accessible from Main
Street will close to allow for utility work related to the deck construction and for
improvements to the surface parking area to be made. While this lot is closed, one-hour public parking will become available in the lot on the north side of the County
Administration Building, accessible from School Street.

The Water and Sewer Department payment drop-box will be returned to the island
directly behind the County Administration Building, accessible from School Street.

The five-level, 491-space Mason Street Parking Facility is slated to open later this year. It is the second of two parking decks that are part of the new courthouse and jail projec. The three-level, 222-space Castleberry Parking Facility at the intersection of Castleberry Road and Maple Street opened this summer.

In addition to the Castleberry Parking Facility, weekday daytime public parking spaces are available at several locations near the County Administration Building (please see map at www.forsythco.com). Look for the parking spaces marked with a red dot in designated lots.
