Volleyball: Buford pushes past North Hall for 8-AAAA title

Buford pushed ahead for the Region 8-AAAA volleyball title on Thursday.<br /> <br /> The Lady Wolves knocked off North Hall 3-0 (25-18, 25-11, 25-22) to claim the top seed from Area 8-AAAA.<br /> <br /> The Lady Trojans finished as the No. 2 seed from 8-AAAA and will play host to the No. 3 seed from 2-AAAA on Oct. 15 in the first round of the state playoffs. Buford will take on the No. 4 seed from Area 2-AAAA.<br /> <br /> "We played well," North Hall coach Emi Hughes said. "Buford is one of the best teams in the state, and to show up and play well against them speaks volumes. It bodes well for us heading into the state tournament next week."<br /> <br /> Sydney Cleveland led North Hall with 12 kills, 6 digs and a block, while Lily Paschall had 18 assists and Jen Mullican had 5 kills and 3 blocks. Makenzie Bryant also had 10 digs; Autumn Tucker had 2 kills; and Kesley Little had 7 digs.
