GAINESVILLE -- Gainesville football faces a prototypical good news-bad news situation this week.<br />
<br />
The good news? Senior standout Michael Byrd is finally back from injury and ready to step in at running back.<br />
<br />
The bad news? Chris Byrd is now gone for the remainder of the regular season with his own injury. The younger Byrd deputized ably for his older brother in the Red Elephants' offense while also starring for the Gainesville defense linebacker.<br />
<br />
And at this point in the season, Gainesville wants all of its weapons healthy and ready to play.<br />
<br />
The Red Elephants shook off a season-opening loss at Grayson and have been flying ever since, going 3-0 in Region 8-AAAAA, outscoring opponents 141-26 along the way. But now each game gets progressively tougher
