DAWSONVILLE -- Max Muldoon drilled a 29-yard field goal as time expired to lift Dawson County to a thrilling 23-20 victory over Forsyth Central Friday night.

The Tigers (3-1) trailed 20-13 early in the third quarter but got an interception from Chris Sayler to turn the momentum. The Tigers would ride the back of Cody Lamar, who finished off the ensuing drive with a 5-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 20.

It stayed that until late in the fourth quarter. The Tigers would get the ball with 1:45 seconds and Zack Buchan would complete several short passes to move Dawson county to the Forsyth Central 7 with six seconds left.

A penalty would back the Tigers up five yards before Muldoon would deliver the game-winning kick.

Dawson County led early in the game on a 69-yard TD pass from Buchan to Sayler in the first quarter. But the Bulldogs (0-3) scored 10 straight points to take their first lead and then after a Lamar 4-yard TD run for Dawson, they would reclaim the lead 17-13 a TD pas just before the half.
