GAINESVILLE - Diane Chipman was presented with the Good News Clinics Sam Poole Volunteer of the Year Award at Thursday night's fundraiser.
Chipman has served as medical records volunteer for the past eight years, according to executive director Cheryl Christian.
Christian said Friday morning they were hoping to raise $50,000 with the fundraiser "however, the pledges and donations made at the event will probably increase the number to over $70,000."
Nearly 450 people attended the event.
