Senior Life Center celebrates 40th anniversary with cookbook

By Staff
GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville Hall County Senior Life Center is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year with the release of a cookbook.

Senior Life Center Manager, Merry Howard, said the cookbook is a collaboration of recipes from some of the community's greatest cooks.

"We've been gathering recipes for about a year from city and county employees,
friends, and family and believe we have a winner. You'll find everything from cornbread dressing to peanut butter pie," Howard said. We're extremely proud of the final product and hope the community will appreciate this as much as we do," Howard added.

The cookbook can be purchased for $15 just in time for the fall holidays. Proceeds from the cookbook will be used to fund programs for seniors. Cookbooks are available at the Sr. Center at 434 Prior Street, SE, Monday-Friday from 8am-3pm. Cash or check only.
