Fire destroys Barrow Co. home

WINDER - A late-night fire Monday destroyed a house in the 200 block of Booth Road in Barrow County.

"A neighbor called the fire into 911," said Barrow County Emergency Management Services spokesman Scott Dakin. "Upon arrival of firefighters, we found the home fully involved in flames."

Lt. Dakin said firefighters had to fight the flames from outside the house due to the amount of fire. The blaze displaced two adults. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
