ROME -- White County's Jenna Gearing won the Clara Bowl Invitational at Berry College on Saturday.
The sophomore and defending Class AAA state champion finished in a time of 18:45 and beat the second place finisher by 30 seconds
Gearing effort held the Lady Warriors take fourth place in the 28-team field.
The White County boys finished seventh overall, paced by a fifth-place showing from Austin Thompson, who took fifth with a time of 17:00.
The North Hall boys came away with the boys team title placing five runners in the top eight. Bryce Schuebert (second place) and Quintin Miles (fourth place) led the Trojans with times of 16:37 and 16:53, respectively.
The North Hall girls finished in 11th place, led by Makayla Ellis, who was ninth overall finishing with a 20:47 time.
West Hall boys and girls also ran in the event, finishing in 17th and 22nd place, respectively.
