WARNER ROBINS -- Flowery Branch football couldn't get the better of Northside-Warner Robins on Friday, falling 28-6 in Warner Robins.
The Falcons (0-1) battled through a scoreless first quarter but Northside put up two touchdowns just before the half to take control of the contest.
Jackson McDonald passed for 98 yards and rushed for 90 and a score to help lead Flowery Branch. Jeremiah Goss also rushed 12 times for 51 yards, while A'lencio Graham caught two passes for 49 yards. The Falcons finished with 268 yards of offense, 170 of that on ground.
Northside, meanwhile, rushed for 265 yards behind the efforts of Willie Jordan (17 carries, 147 yards, touchdown) and Gless Smith (15 carries, 122 yards, 2 TDs).
The Falcons will look to bounce back next Friday against West Forsyth in the Branch.
