RABBITTOWN -- East Hall rebounded from a tough loss last week in its opener against Dawson County with a solid 48-12 win over Chattooga Friday night at East Hall Stadium.
The Vikings (1-1, 0-1 Region 7-AAA) led 20-6 at halftime but Chattooga cut the lead to 2012 early in the third quarter. East Hall's offense behind Devin Watson cranked up the rest of the way scoring 28 unanswered points to close out the game.
East Hall coach Bryan Gray said it was good to get some momentum heading into a bye week before traveling to East Jackson in two weeks.
"We needed some confidence after last week and I thought we played pretty well most of the game," Gray said. "We still made some mistakes but it was an improvement over last week. Now we're going to work on the things we need to fix."
Watson finished with multiple rushing and passing touchdowns for the Vikings. Milton Whelchel and Jacque Ash also played solid games, Gray said.
