BLAIRSVILLE -- Jefferson suffered its first Region 8-AA loss of the season Tuesday falling to Union County 1-0 on the road.
Olivia Husted took the tough-luck loss despite allowing just two hits and fanning three.
The only run came in the fourth. Madison Rich walked to lead off and moved to second on an error. Courtney Busbee singled to load the bases and then Maddie Garrett walked with two outs for the RBI.
Union's Laken Chambers made it stand up scattering four hits while striking out four.
Jefferson (5-4, 2-1 Region 8-AA) next will play to host Social Circle on Thursday in a doubleheader of 8-AA games.
