Retired Gainesville Public Utilities Director dies

GAINESVILLE - A man who worked for the City of Gainesville for more than 30 years before retiring as Public Utilities Director has died.

Gurley Satterfield, 86, died Tuesday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Satterfield worked for the city for more than 34 years before retiring in 1993 as Public Utilities Director.
