DANIELSVILLE -- The Jefferson girls softball team opened its season with a 6-0 loss to Madison County Saturday.
Olivia Husted took the loss for the Lady Dragons (0-1) despite allowing just two earned runs in five innings.
Alexis Damron went the distance for Madison County yielding just two hits and four walks while striking out three.
Emily Duffy and Jordan Phillips had one hit each for Jefferson.
The Lady Raiders scored one run in the first, three in the second, and two more in the sixth.
