LULA - Jaemor Farms in Lula this month launched Family Fundays and is making plans for special events this fall, as well, including the 9th Annual Cornfield Maze Adventure.
The Family Fundays will be held each Saturday in July and August from 11:00-2:00 and will feature rides in a covered wagon around the farm for individuals, families and groups. The cost is $5 per person with children 3-and-under riding at no charge. In addition, free samples of fruit will be offered along the way.
Jaemor is also gearing up for this year's corn maze which will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays Sept. 14-Nov. 3. (Click on the link below for full details.)
To help plan and coordinate such events, Jaemor recently hire Caroline Black as its full-time agritourism director.
Black holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and masters degree in Ag Communication from Texas A&M. She is in charge of creating activities such as the Family Fundays as well as School Tours and group activities, including tours of the farm and the corn maze. She is creating content and supplemental materials for the school tours this fall that will meet Georgia Board of Education standards for each grade level and she will be writing a monthly newsletter for the farm and farm market.
