ATLANTA - The Georgia Supreme Court is slated to hear appeals Monday in a Hall County child molestation case and a Barrow County murder case.
In the Hall County case, the state is appealing a Georgia Court of Appeals ruling, which found that the trial court erred in re-sentencing Claude Wayne Hudson, who had been convicted of child molestation, to a longer time in prison than he originally received.
Hudson was convicted in Gainesville in November 2009 of aggravated sexual battery and child molestation.
In the Barrow County case, Emory Teasley is appealing the murder conviction and life prison sentence he received in for his involvement with his brothers in killing a man in 2005.
At issue are statements the defendant and his brother Chris gave to Winder police after James Riden was killed at Big H Food Store in Barrow County.
