Victim identified in fatal weekend motorcycle accident

HOSCHTON - The Georgia State Patrol has released the names of those involved in Saturday's fatal accident involving a motorcycle and a passenger car in Hoschton.

Jackson County Emergency Services Director Steve Nichols said yesterday that the crash happened at 6165 Highway 124 around 11:42 a.m.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the motorcycle operator, Francisco Oscar Ramirez, 40, of Doraville, died in the crash.

Ramirez's passenger, Andrea Zeigler, 43, of Lawrenceville, was taken to Athens Regional Medical center with what Nichols described as severe life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the automobile, Dorothy Jean Conley, 77, of Hoschton, was taken to Athens Regional and was listed in stable condition, according to Nichols.

According to a preliminary report by the Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened in front of the Family Dollar store just west of Highway 332.

According to the patrol, the car driver attempted to to make a left turn into the store parking lot, turning into the path of the motorcycle.

The GSP says that charges in the accident are pending.
