GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Sheriff's Office hosted its first annual Sheriff's Summer Sprint 5K fundraiser Saturday. The event raised money for the Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Homes.
A sheriff's office spokesman said 115 runners and walkers braved the hilly Allen Creek Road course.
Sheriff Gerald Couch was on hand to greet the participants at the start and welcome them back at the finish. Sheriff Sid Roberts of the Georgia Sheriffs' Association was also on hand to say thanks to the crowd for their
support of the Youth Homes project.
