GAINESVILLE - The 2013 Bayonet yearbook of Riverside Military Academy (RMA) has just been inducted into Walsworth Yearbooks' prestigious "Gallery of Excellence." This award is given to only a very small percentage of yearbooks in the nation who have "consistently demonstrated superior quality."
The Walsworth online gallery features the best examples of yearbook components including design, photography, theme, and writing.
School officials say Riverside's Bayonet will be used nationwide as an example of great work; loaned to schools across the country for inspiration; and displayed at regional, state, and national conventions and workshops. Riverside also received a "Gallery of Excellence" wall plaque from Walsworth.
RMA senior Cadet First Lieutenant (C/1LT) Alexander Joseph's artwork was chosen as the design for the yearbook cover. The yearbook advisor is Kirk Turner and the yearbook staff members are C/Major Gage Bolden, editor, C/CPT Andre Bastian, C/SFC Tanner Cline, C/SFC Stephen Green, C/SGT Benjamin Herman, C/SSG Vladyslav Kozhanov, C/2LT Ryan Madison, and C/2LT Dakari Smith.
Riverside Military Academy, founded in 1907, is one of the premier college preparatory academies for young men in grades 7-12. The RMA Corps of Cadets consists of over 450 cadets from 22 countries. Please visit www.riversidemilitary.com for more information.
