Two from Hall Co. participate in Warrior Games

COLORADO SPRINGS, COL. - Two wounded veterans from Hall County participated earlier this week in the Warrior Games in Colorado Springs, Col.

They are Capt. Francisco Barroqueiro of Gainesville and Staff Sgt. Edward Patton, Jr., of Lula.

The Warrior Games were held at the U.S. Olympic Training Center and the United States Air Force Academy.

More than 200 wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans participated in seven sports (archery, cycling, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, track and field and wheelchair basketball). Athletes represented Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Special Operations as well as the British Armed Forces.
