WINDER -- Gainesville baseball ended the regular season with an 11-4 defeat of Winder-Barrow on Thursday in Winder.
Jonathan Gettys earned the win on the mound, striking out six in four innings pitched, while Hunter Anglin fanned five batters in two innings of relief. Mikey Gonzalez also tossed one inning for the Red Elephants (23-3).
Skyler Weber and Anglin helped lead Gainesville at the plate, each recording two hits and three RBIs. Luke Moore and Brandon Sewell also put up two hits and one RBI apiece.
Michael Gettys also had two hits, while Drew Wright had a hit and two RBIs.
Gainesville will begin play in the Class AAAAA playoffs on Friday against the No. 4 seed from Region 5-AAAAA, time to be determined.
