Golf: Gainesville girls finish behind Lambert at Brookwood Inv.

The Gainesville High girls golf team finished second behind Class AAAAAA powerhouse Lambert on Saturday at The Brookwood Invitational.

Morgan Reece finished with an 81 to lead the team and earn top five honors individually. Freshman standout Ashleigh Bishop shot an 84, while Meg Callahan added an 87 and Madeline Harr shot 88.

Gainesville will compete in the Region 8-AAAAA tournament on Thursday at Chattahoochee Golf Club.
