RMA hosts former member of Joint Chiefs of Staff

GAINESVILLE - Riverside Military Academy (RMA) recenlty hosted Gen. Charles C. Krulak, retired commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps and former member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, as "distinguished speaker" for the RMA Character Development Program.

Gen. Krulak addressed more than 450 cadets along with Riverside faculty and other guests on Wednesday as he spoke about integrity, courage, and the strength to follow your own path in life.

He currently serves as the 13th president of Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama. Gen. Krulak previously served as deputy director of the White House Military Office where he coordinated military support for President Ronald Reagan and President George H.W. Bush. He held an appointment as the 31st commandant of the U.S. Marines Corps from July 1995 through June 1999.
