New Forsyth Co. solicitor-general sworn in

ATLANTA - Gov. Nathan Deal has sworn in Forsyth County's new solicitor-general.

Deal announced March 12 that the job was going to Donna S. Gopaul of Cumming. The vacancy was created when Leslie Abernathy Maddox was appointed to a state court judgeship in Forsyth County.

Gopaul owns her own law firm and previously served as assistant public defender in the Griffin Judicial Circuit and as assistant solicitor-general in the Forsyth County Solicitor-General's Office.
