Tennis: Lady Trojans clinch top seed in 7-AAA

The North Hall girls tennis team clinched the top seed in the upcoming Region 7-AAA tournament with a 5-0 win over White County Tuesday.

The Lady Trojans (13-1, 7-0 Region 7-AAA) did not drop a set in the victory.

In singles, Natalie Oxley defeated Kayla Duarte 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 at No. 1 and
Kelsey beat Tori Parks 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2. Tricia Dial whipped Katelynn Scott 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.

In doubles, the No. 1 team of Hannah Gibson and Kaitlyn Smith defeated Kaylee Norris and Breanna Harkins 6-0, 6-1 and Courtney Barnes and McKay Higginbotham defeated Taylor Dockery and Shasta Swenson 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.

North Hall next will travel to Lanier on Thursday.
