GAINESVILLE -- The Gainesville boys soccer team opened its season with a solid 3-0 win over Lumpkin County Tuesday night.
Junior Veragosa scored two goals to lead the Red Elephants (1-0). Christian Ochoa also scored for Gainesville.
Roberto Nunez assisted on Veragosa's first goal and Alberto Murillo assisted on Veragosa's second goal.
Gainesville will be back in action on Saturday, traveling to Creekview.
