ELBERTON -- Banks County leads after the first day of the Area 4-AAA traditional wrestling tournament Friday night at Elbert County High School.
The Leopards tallied 101 points and had more than a half dozen wrestlers advance to the semifinals. The action will resume Saturday at 9 a.m. at Elbert County.
The top four wrestlers in each weight class advance to next week's Class AAA Northern sectionals at Morgan County high School.
North Hall had five wrestlers advance to the semifinals. The Trojans accumulated 74 points on Friday.
