TOCCOA - North Georgia Airborne Association and the Atlanta 82nd Chapter are having a meeting for Airborne Troops on January 11 at noon at the Cornerstone Restaurant in Toccoa. <br />

Camp Toccoa at Currahee was the birthplace of U.S. Airborne troops. <br />

The guest speaker will be Major General Khambang Sibounheuang - a Life Member of the 82nd Association, and member of the Special Forces Association, who was trained by the 5th Special Forces Group during the Vietnam War. <br />
<br />
Gen. Sibounheuang served on active duty with the Royal Laos Army as both enlisted and company commander for Special Group Unit during the Vietnam War from 1960-1975.<br />
