Medical center gets trauma nod

GAINESVILLE - Northeast Georgia Medical Center officials announced Monday that the hospital has received level II trauma center designation.

The Georgia Department of Public Health Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Office made a site visit earlier this month to evaluate the hospital's readiness for the designation.
