Toyo Tire creates 650 jobs in Bartow expansion

ATLANTA - Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing, Inc. (TNA) in Bartow County will expand its current facility, creating 650 new jobs and investing $371 million in the project over the next four years.

Gov. Nathan Deal was on hand for the announcement Friday.

The expansion will add 700,000 square feet to the current 2-million-square-foot manufacturing plant by the end of 2017. At the same time, TNA will expand the warehousing footprint by 30 percent. Light truck and passenger car tires are manufactured there. The plant is located in White.

Toyo Tire, founded in 1945 and headquartered in Japan, has been operating in the North American market for nearly 50 years.
