ATHENS -- James Hodges poured in 28 points to go with 10 rebounds to lead the Johnson boys to 85-70 road win over Athens Christian Tuesday night.
The Knights (3-2) will open their Region 8-AAAA season against Lanier Friday at home.
Ty Cockfield added 15 points and Roderick English and Carter Cagle each scored 12 for Johnson.
Athens Christian was led by Demetrius McWhorter with 27.
