NGMC Love Light Tree lighting Monday

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor
GAINESVILLE - The 34th annual Love Light Tree lighting ceremony will take lace Monday night at 7:00 Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

It will be held in the Auxiliary Love Light Garden located at the North Entrance of the hospital.

The Love Light Celebration is presented by The Medical Center Auxiliary and is a celebration of Love Light donations made throughout the year. Love Light donations support Hospice of NGMC, which provides in-home nursing care for patients with a life-limiting illness.

For a minimum donation of $10, a light will be placed on the tree. Donations of $100 or more are designated as "Star" gifts, and donations of $500 or more are "Angel" gifts. Love Light donations can be made year-round in honor or memory of someone, and that person or the family will receive a card notifying them of the gift.

"We are blessed to have the services of Hospice of NGMC available in our community, allowing terminally ill patients to remain in their homes with their families and loved ones," says LeeAnn LoCicero, who, along with her husband, Richard LoCicero, MD, serves as chairs of the 2013 Love Light celebration. "The funds raised through Love Light donations have a major impact on the services provided to Hospice patients and their family members throughout Northeast Georgia, and the needs that are met by Love Light donations would not happen without these gifts."

To make a donation or for more information about Love Light, please call The Medical Center Auxiliary at 770-219-1830, or visit http://www.nghs.com/lovelight.

The ceremony is free and open to the public.
