Gainesville, Hall release garbage collection schedules for next week

GAINESVILLE - The city of Gainesville and Hall County have announced garbage collection plans for next week - Thanksgiving week.

In the city, garbage will only be picked up once - on Monday and Tuesday. Recycle routes for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will remain the same.

City offices will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Hall County offices will also be closed Thursday and Friday and the county's community community centers will remain closed through the following weekend.

Of course, essential public safety and public works personnel will continue to work as usual. The landfill will be closed on Thanksgiving Day but the trash compactor sites will remain open.
